eMMC Boot Control Register

Fields

MAN_BOOT_EN

Mandatory Boot Enable. This bit is used to initiate the mandatory boot operation. The application sets this bit along with the SDMMC_BOOT_CTRL_R[VALIDATE_BOOT] bit. Writing 0x0 is ignored. The SDMMC module clears this bit after the boot transfer is completed or terminated.

0 (Val_0x0): Mandatory boot disable

1 (Val_0x1): Mandatory boot enable

VALIDATE_BOOT

Validate Mandatory Boot Enable Bit. This bit is used to validate the SDMMC_BOOT_CTRL_R[MAN_BOOT_EN] bit.

0 (Val_0x0): Ignore mandatory boot enable bit

1 (Val_0x1): Validate mandatory boot enable bit

BOOT_ACK_ENABLE

Boot Acknowledge Enable. When this bit set, the SDMMC module checks for boot acknowledge start pattern of 0-1-0 during boot operation. This bit is applicable for both mandatory and alternate boot mode.

0 (Val_0x0): Boot ACK disable

1 (Val_0x1): Boot ACK enable

BOOT_TOUT_CNT

Boot ACK Timeout Counter Value. This value determines the interval by which boot ACK timeout (50 ms) is detected when boot ACK is expected during boot operation.

0 (Val_0x0): TMCLK x 2^13

1 (Val_0x1): TMCLK x 2^14

14 (Val_0xE): TMCLK x 2^27
